Chinese media and what we can learn from it.

I'm currrenty watching a doc on History international channel on the new Chinese media and how it is adapting to new open market reforms. The media had been a function of the communist party (The name of the documentary is called China: the dragons ascent and reairs today at 3 eastern today for those intrested.) That is gradually changing. With the current reforms, the media is attempting to function as a mouthpiece between the common people and the govrnment. There is much our media could learn from this as it goes the other way. My advice from having watched the doc....invest in China. They are taking the position in the world that America once held. Sadly, I fear that without major reforms we may be migrating to China soon. The sad part of that is (from a purely historical perspective) of all the places in the world, North and South America have been the least lived on by people and so left most full of natural resources. Less idiotic management of such resources and MORE sensible utilization of such resources would easily restore our place within the world economy. That is one of my biggest gripes with Charlie Crist (R) FL. He opposes all offshore drilling even when the proposal would mean a $5K per year check (according to oil company company commercial) for all Florida homeowners. It was basically the same deal Palin scored for Alaskans on a silver platter. How many recent foreclosures could have been prevented without Crist's opposition to such things. Of course our local media is totally unsupportive of such things. Not to leave our pResident out of this, he recently gave a Brazillian company. recently purchased by GEORGE SOROS millions of dollars to do offshore of expiration for oil. Yesterday, Obama called for stronger environmental protections at the UN. Did our media even attempt to do the same as the new Chinese media would have? Our media has a man crush for lack of a better term with a sniveling two faced (insert your own words here)_____________.

My point here is that China is doing far more with far less and we better follow their lead or we will be left in our own dust.
