Donkeys, Elephants and bouncing baby poll numbers

This went from being a post to being a comment and back. KOOK made this this same point so earlier and I don't usually see a need to repeat previous discussions but the news stories of the day have lent themselves to making this a post once again. The Donkeys are claiming the Repubs are going through the same thing with the libertarian, conservative and moderate wings of the party all having their own agendas and to a point that is true, but this is campaign season now, and there are 2 of the donkeys' biggest agenda issues that Dem leadership is ramming down the throats of Americans. Those are Obamahealthcaredestruction and The energy tax. In the most recent Fox News Racist Gun Clinger's Poll, those two issues were considered most important by a whopping 12% of those polled(who by the way were 88% Democrat) as compared to 51% combined who were most concerned about jobs, the economy and spiraling defecits.
On the energy tax side, in what amounts to a "nuclear option" move, the EPA has taken up the
mantle of pushing CO2 as a perverbial nail in our coffin. I believed this was a timed and deliberate move to restore momentum to the idiot's convention in Copenhagen. Without any possible Senate treaty support and with the growing Climategate scandal, those talks may as well be stuck in quicksand and desperately need some shot in the arm for any possible real action to come of out of Copenhagen. The E.P.A. action may as well considered playing of Obama's "trump" card and may also be considered an admission of a massive looming defeat in the 2010 midterms. Obama and friends know that American support for Crap and Tax has dropped and at the same time, belief in the global warming hoax, globally, has dropped as well. China and India don't want any such measure unless it hits America only, and Obama would be happy to give them just that at his own parties' political risk.
Meanwhile, we go into reelection season with support for Obamahealthcaredestruction being at 53% strongly oppose in NV. Why does that matter....because it is Harry Reid's home state and he will have to campaign on that issue as whether it pass or fail, it will be fresh on the minds of voters at the ballot box next November barring some unexpected disaster whether natural or man-made. The donkeys have overreached on a level that makes the 94 look miniscule, and the dead horse of "Bush left us with this mess" has been beaten, bombed, run over with every sort of machine from farm tools to M1/A1 Abrams tanks and the American people just aren't buying it anymore. The Dems have will have had 2 years of unfettered control of Washington DC and will have left our economic future, both wars in Afganistan and Iraq (considered by most to be nearly won when Bush left) in doubt, and will be depending on a President to be their best campaign support who will have approval ratings in the 30's by election time. (Does anybody disagree there, if I were the betting type, I'd go all in on that one). Yes they can keep calling the Republicans "the party of NO" but Americans are begging for Congress to tell Obama NO, and the election of a Republican Governor in New Jersey, another in VA, and even the Congressional race in upstate NY where when added together, votes for the conservative and the communist Republican greatly outnumbered the Dem. The Dem party will likely implode over health care in the coming weeks. Dirty Harry is threatening to use the "nuclear option" at the behest of the President, and just may....but he should be warned that doing so will galvanize the three elements of the Republican(ish) party into a single minded army, hellbent on repealing healthcare and the dismantling of the E.P.A. Long ago, Obama wished for an army, stronger than our Military made of civilians...he should have been more careful for what he wished for.....and watched more closely how he has treated the American people at home, and how he has spoken about America abroad as America may not be perfect, but we owe no country an apology for anything and by doing such things, Obama has destroyed his Presidency and his political party with a radical agenda and a "hate America first attitude" so I, for one, will sit back and enjoy watching Dems get what they deserve. I will enjoy the "army" Obama wished for swell in ranks and swallow his party whole. I just hope that the Repubs, Libertarians and independents can get everyone on the same page in time to sweep 2010 and save the country from going down in history as the Roman and Weimar Republics did in years past.
Update:
Obama has received a baby bounce in his overall job approval rating (according to the Fox News Nazi Racist Tracking Polls). This bounce came because the people overwhelmingly want the "public option" laden Obama health care plan, right?.....
Well no. Okay, then people are so worried about the planet frying because of man made global warming that they want Obama to get to Copenhagen as fast as possible to get "cap and trade" signed sealed and delivered , right?...Not exactly. ....
Allright then, they are so happy with the economy and the jobs situation in this country that they are bouncing with joy, right?...Wrong!
So what issue has given Obama a slight directional change in poll numbers? The decision that at least on the surface looks like the right one regarding finally sending needed troops and accelerating the timetable regarding the surge in Afgainstan. And who did this job approval bounce come from? Why the racist Obama haters who will hate Obama no matter what because he is the first black pResident according to the liberal press...a.k.a. Conservatives and Independents, not liberals or communists or Academia. This means that... wait a second...i'm grinding some gears here to get this out...that....uh...well (where's that teleprompter when I need it most?)...THAT uh...like....PEOPLE THAT ....uh like...GO TO...THOSE....uh..TEA PARTIES...AND.... uh..LIVE IN..you know like...uh... FLYOVER COUNTRY.....uh...like...DON'T HATE OBAMA BECAUSE HE'S BLACK, THEY HATE OBAMA'S IDIOTIC DECISIONS AND WHEN HE FINALLY DOES SOMETHING RIGHT FOR ONCE, THEY SHOW THEIR APPROVAL!!!!! (....and those who are saying such things are the real racists and this is proof)

Beware: Hell hath frozen over

This was a comment AD33 made to an earlier post and I thought it should be a post of its own. This is all in reference to pResident "Chairman Zero" Obamarx telegraphing his war exit strategy to our enemies. If FDR and Churhill had told the Germans the day date and time of D-day do you think it would have been successful? No. Obamarx has guaranteed our failure in Afghanistan because he has told our enemies that if they can just hold put we will leave. He might as well have bowed to them and the only reason he hasn't us because he hasn't been in the same room as any of Al Queda's leadership.

To quote Chris Mathews ( a first for this blog), "If I were Al qaeda and the Taliban, I'd circle the withdrawal date as the day to start their "surge." You know that when Chris "what's wrong with calling al Qaeda" Mathews gets it, then it must not even be to the level of common sense. So easy a caveman could figure it out. (now the cavemen won't be so offended by geico commercials as being compared to Mathews is far worse.)

Should we do the "surge"?

Last night, Alan Colmes the liberal corpse at Fox News made the argument that we should bring our troops home from Afganistan. I have to admit, I agree with Colmes but for very different reasons. We know we have a pResident that cares more for his pack of cigarettes than he does for our troops. We know that since Obama took office, he has hancuffed our troops with rules of engagement that our soldiers in Vietnam would have deserted over. We know we are fighting an enemy that is as vicious as any in history. We know our pResident has no desire to achieve anything resembling a victory regarding any foreign policy issue. We know the only reason that Obama is doing this surge is because he needs to do something to appease mainstream America because the majority of Americans excluding the extreme left now disapprove of Obama's handling of his job from the economy, to foreign policy to health care. Given the fact that this troop surge adds up to nothing more than throwing 30,000 more troops into the gauntlet of a no win scenario being run by a no win boss, isn't the better choice to bring our troops home from Afganistan now and not lose anymore American lives in a war the regime wants to lose?

I am all for going all out to try to win in Afganistan but I heard nothing about winning in Obama's speech last night. I did hear more apologies for America's wrongs, more blame on the previous administration and much more subserviance to NATO, the UN and any other foreign power. Such attitudes are not winning attitudes, but the same attitudes that led to the quagmayer in Vietnam.

So you tell me, am I wrong to want to put our troops first?
