Parable of the rainforest

This is a parable that I understand fairly well since I live in an area as close to "rainforest" as you get in the U.S.A. Before you even go there, no... this is not some environmentalist rant. So rainforests, whether they be in the Amazon, Central and or S.Asia or Africa have one think in common, and that is rain. This causes wild tree growth at a rate that is many times faster than our native American trees. These trees have very little foliage (leaves and branches) near the ground. Instead, this collection of all sorts of trees form a canopy 30 or more feet in the air, where the wildlife generally live off the abundant fruit, or the abundant wildlife. Very little sunlight makes it to the ground due to the total coverage of the tree canopy. Generally on a daily basis, the rainforest gets deluged by massive floods. Sometimes these floods might bring down and older, weaker or diseased tree. This results in a flood of sunlight hitting the ground in the area where the fallen tree existed. As a result, insects and fungus on the ground feed on the dead tree and as it decomposes, literally thousands of seedlings feel the sun and sprout. This becomes a race for dominance as only one or two of those seedlings will make it to the top and become a part of that rainforest canopy which will then shade out the rest of the competition.
So, just where am I going with this? Our capitalist system when functioning properly is no different that the competition in the rainforest. Old businesses die out they either become too old to react to changing times or as new businesses spring up that are more competitive spring up. Up until now, we had gone so far to make rules (known as "anti-trust laws) to prevent bloated corporations from becoming too big to fail...or fall if they were in the rainforests. In both the rainforest and the capitalist system, this is a natural cycle of renewal and or renurishment.

Included here are mugshots over those guilty of ecoterrorism on our economy, Now Mr Obama, riding the coattails of what Mr Bush started along with the Fed under Ben(the inkmaster) Bernanke, and Tim (the Nose) Geithner have come up with a set of rules to protect businesses too big to fail. The ultimate effect of these rules will be to stifle small businesses, eliminate opportunity for job creation and ultimately move America toward a (you liberals are going to hate this) a FASCIST system where big government and big corporations work hand in hand to prevent small businesses (who employ 3/4ths of this country) the opportunity to grow and prosper. While there are many guilty of this eco-crime (eco being economy not ecology), these are some of those who have had the greatest impact on the situation today. In order to restore our economy, a.k.a. the rainforest, the natural balance of growth and renurishment must be restored or we could lose our economic environment forever!!!!
