Misery Index continues to rise...

A few months ago I began keeping track of the old misery index from the 1970s. It is a combination of inflation averaged over the last year combined with unemployment. Inflation over the last year was nearly 3% while unemployment is now 9.4 percent. That moves the Obama misery index from 11 when I started measuring this to now 12.4. If this bothers you just wait. As Obama follows Jimmy the nut farmer Carter's policies the misery index will follow. While the media says this economy is the worst since the 1930's great depression, the misery index in 1980 was 22. I can't wait...
