9/12/09 Tea Party

There is a big tea party being planned in D.C. on 9/12/09. It is being thrown by ResistNet a.k.a Patriotic Resistance. I just spent 2 hours on the phone with Christine Prawdy of onestep promotions and marketing who is putting this Tea Party together. She supports 912 and us bloggers. Transportation from all over the country is being arranged and it just so happens that a hotel room has been put in my name. I am asking on her behalf to get everyone you can to go to this. Subject: Availability of Meeting Planner Services for the 9-12 March in Washington DC

I am thrilled to announce that One Step Promotions and Incentives, Inc. (One Step) has stepped forward to offer their services to manage the travel, hotel and on-site organization for our September 12 Taxpayer March in Washington, DC.

One Step is a nationally recognized marketing event company having managed international meetings and tradeshows as well as major sporting events such as the Olympics, the Daytona 500 and the Superbowl for groups with more than 5000 attendees.

Additionally, the principals at One-Step are members of the FreedomWorks, Grassfire and Resistnet organizations. One-Step is not only committed to our agenda, but is investing in the success of the Taxpayers March by donating the majority of their administrative services free of charge to attendees. With the exception of a third party transaction fee associated with securing payment for your travel, One-step will waive all administrative costs associated with managing the program. Given the anticipated size of our event, One-Step’s donation would be valued in the 10’s of thousands of dollars.

One Step has agreed to act as an extension of our organization which will allow us to focus on the task at hand rather than being bogged down with the travel, transportation and hotel logistics with the march.

Both Brendan Steinhauser, from Freedom Works, and myself have been working with One-Step Owners and management. We endorse their activities and strongly encourage our members to use One Step for your travel, hotel, and transportation needs regarding the march on DC on 9/12.

Please Let Us know if You Plan On Attending: Web Site Registration

It is extremely important that we get an idea of how many members plan on attending the 9-12 Rally. In the spirit of partnership, One-Step has agreed to use their resources to negotiate the absolute best airfare hotel room and transportation rates for those marching. The more attendees, the earlier we commit, thus the better rates we will receive for the airlines, bus companies and hotels.

Also, early registration will allow us to group together which will make the rally more enjoyable, interesting and powerful for all attendees. So, decide if you and your group are going and register early.

Fellow Members,

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to you. First and foremost, I am a member of several of the 912 and Glenn Beck groups and am a firm believer that now is the time to stand up and be counted. As a member, I wanted to use my expertise and that of my company to assist any of you that are planning on participating in the March that is taking place on 912 in Washington DC. We have been asked by the organizers of the event at Freedomworks, Resistnet.com and Grassfire.org to assist as many people as possible to get to DC to show solidarity in numbers.

Our great nation was built on the tenants of free enterprise, capitalism, and responsible government. We firmly believe that the majority of America needs to understand the difference between socialism and capitalism, that government works for the taxpayers, and that the Constitution and the 10 Commandments are as true today as they were 100 years ago.

My company’s involvement and goal for the project is to get as many like minded people in front of the Capitol on 912 to prove our point. We are committed to offering the most cost effective travel and hotel packages as possible as well as providing all the administrative and on-site support necessary to make your trip as hassle free and powerful as possible.

Making Travel Plans: Website Page

We are currently developing a special web page for the 9-12 Rally. The website will you allow you to electronically register for the rally as well as book and confirm for travel and hotel arrangements.

Our goal is to have the website operational by: June 16, 2009

We ask that you make your reservations through the website. By doing so, you will receive better pricing than you could be booking you trip individually. Also, we will be providing free on-site support staff to assist you once you arrive in Washington. The electronic record will be our tool for making sure your trip is hassle free and enjoyable.

Travel Options:

As I mentioned earlier, our goal is to get as many members to Washington as possible. Therefore we will be offering 4 different packages to members. Common sense doesn’t have a pocketbook so we have arranged different packages for different budgets.

Package 1: Air/Hotel Packages (chartered directly from your city with your group)

Package 2: Buses/Hotel Packages (Charters directly from your city with your group)

Package 3: Hotel alone (for those that plan to caravan on their own)

Package 4: Campground accommodations (for those that drive on their own, bring an RV or tent)

We will have hotels in the DC Capitol Hill area as well as outside of that area. We will also have transportation available from the airport to the hotel for those flying in together. There will also be transportation provided on the day of the March.

Extended Stays in Washington:

Assistance will also be provided for those that wish to book tours on extended stays. Rooms will be available from the 10th to the 14th but you are free to book only the 11th and 12th if you do not plan on doing any sight seeing.

We Need your Support and Your Help: Plus, a Job Well Done Bonus for Group Leaders

Please forward Darla's and my note to all of your members of your group so we can try and get the largest turnout possible. As a thank you for your commitment and hard work, we will be providing all group leaders a complimentary room for every 50 that are filled and a free airline ticket for every 40 tickets booked from your group. We get them as a reward and wish to reward the group leaders for getting involved. We are donating the free rooms and tickets to the organization.
