Where do we go from here?
We are at a political crossroads. We (the independent bloggers, tea party folks and the 912ers) have reached the point where we need to become a coherent group. We clearly have the numbers , but we are disorganized. We need some sort of coming together. In a perfect world, it would be some sort of rally in D.C. We also need a name that represents what we believe in. I favor the “Constitutionalist” party, myself but would love to hear other ideas. I realize that for saying this, some Obama led gestapo agents my beat my door down and take me away to that place where people never come back from, but I accept that. Where the Unions, and Acorn have the upper hand now is organization. If we want to beat them we must out organize them. I believe the day to do that is July 4th. It falls on a Saturday this year and there should be one big tea party in D.C. It would make the "million man march" look like a house party.
The Repubs have this attitude that we will vote for them because they are the better choice. They left us. We are their base. We voted them out and they still didn't learn their lesson. the next step is for one or two independent (3rd party) conservatives to get elected to congress in 2010. Realizing that we can go elsewhere will bring the Repubs back to the reservation and we will avoid getting another "center left" Mccain as our Repub cadidate. How many conservatives votd for Mccain in the primaries because he could "get the middle" making him more electable. The dems catered to their base and look at the results.
